Do I need any prior DJ experience?
No. Our beginner lessons are designed for complete beginners. Whether you’ve never touched DJ equipment or have only watched DJs online, we’ll guide you through the fundamentals step by step.
What ages do you teach?
We work with students of all ages, including children, teens, and adults. Lessons are customized based on each student’s goals, learning style, and experience level.
How long does it take to learn how to DJ?
Everyone learns at a different pace. Those that continue practicing on their own time progress much faster than those who only take the lessons and do nothing more.
What styles of music can I learn to DJ?
The principles of DJing remain the same regardless of musical style. If you have a preference of genre we will use that type of music during the lessons.

Do I need my own DJ equipment?
No. Beginners can start lessons without owning any equipment. We can help you learn the basics first and recommend equipment when you’re ready.
What DJ equipment do you teach on?
We primarily teach using industry standard equipment commonly found in clubs, venues, and professional DJ booths.
Can you help me choose the right DJ setup?
Yes. We can help you avoid unnecessary purchases and recommend equipment based on your goals, budget, and experience level.
Which DJ software do you teach?
We teach the core concepts that apply across multiple platforms and can provide guidance on popular DJ software such as Serato DJ Pro, rekordbox, and VirtualDJ.

Are lessons private or group based?
SpinRight specializes in one on one private instruction to maximize learning speed and personalized feedback. We offer a group lesson option for 2 people maximum.
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson is 1 hour long.
Do you offer advanced DJ coaching?
Yes. Advanced lessons are available for DJs looking to improve performance techniques, prepare for gigs, refine transitions, build professional workflows, and develop their stage presence.
Can music producers benefit from DJ lessons?
Absolutely. Many producers learn DJing to perform their music live, build a fanbase, and create engaging live sets.

Yes. We understand that schedules change. Advance notice is appreciated whenever possible.
Do you offer lesson packages?
Yes. We offer both single lessons and discounted multi lesson packages for students looking to progress more quickly.

Yes. We can help you build a set, organize your music, practice transitions, understand venue expectations, and develop confidence before performing live.
